NICHIAS's materials were used in a space test conducted by JAXA
NICHIAS partook in a test conducted by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). We were tasked with a completion of thermal insulation of the HTV Small Re-entry Capsule (HSRC).
The capsule had to withstand extreme temperature upon the re-entry into earth's atmosphere and remain intact for retrieval and further study.
NICHIAS combined a selection of its products to fulfil JAXA's strenous requirements, including alumina cloth for cover material, flexible thermal insulation and further insulation for outer ring and center connector.
Following the successful retrieval of HSRC which confirmed the efficiency and reliability of NICHIAS materials, JAXA issued and awarded NICHIAS with the Certificate of Appreciation.
