NICHIAS's New Gasket Labo™ Evaluation Service

When a failure occurs in a system that uses gaskets, it may be challenging at times to find out the cause of the failure. Often, a short investigation may take place to discover the root cause. But more often than not, the solution is either to reuse the same gasket and only adjust the tightening, or switch to an alternative which may be better.

Although decisions are made to protect the plant and its workers, it may be that those decisions are based on limited information.

For that reason, NICHIAS Corporation has decided to design and release a service worldwide which provides our customers with a 360 view of the failure, the cause and the best possible solution to prevent this failure from reocurring.

 

This new service is caled Gasket Labo™.

 

Gasket Labo™ is available worldwide. It combines years of experitise in servicing industries that use gaskets. It combines the capabilities of our technical and analysis department in order to achieve a full view of the problem.

When a failure occurs at a plant, customers have the option to send us a sample of the failed gasket. In our facilities, we will then commit the sample to analysis to find out the cause of failure. Based on this cause, our technical department is then able to design and offer a solution for that particular problem. It may range from suggesting a better gasket, but it also covers suggestions on new installation processes, flanges and bolts, and others.

Our team will make sure to offer a solution that prevents the same failure from happening again.
