Ozone removal filter series Part 4. - Adverse effects of ozone exposure

As discussed in previous articles, certain industries utilize ozone in their systems, or their systems generate ozone due to their function. In either case, the substance levels released into the air need to be managed due to the adverse effects of ozone on the human body.

When inhaled, ozone is a substance that can harm the human body, and prolonged exposure can lead to severe physical damage. Different concentration levels will cause different bodily responses.

Effects of ozone concentration on human body

The above symptoms can be attributed to ozone release into the ambient. However, when ozone concentration exceeds 20ppm, there are extreme dangers to those exposed. Thus, it is essential to control the ozone generation and limit the concentration released at the source; hence, why an ozone removal filter should be included in all relevant systems and is always recommended.
