Saniclean™ Gasket Application

Saniclean™ Gasket Application

Saniclean™ gasket is a sanitary gasket made by NICHIAS technology of encapsulating an elastomer in PTFE. This technology offers the softness of rubber with the strength and chemical resistance of PTFE and is a technology which has been in production for years now.

NICHIAS Saniclean™ gasket ensures a balance in the bonding of the different materials so that they offer the best sealing and resistance possible. At the same time, it ensures that there is no lacking of adhesion which could affect the product’s performance in use.

As a gasket, this technology is particularly attractive for use in the food & beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical industries where it is used in piping, or in heat exchangers.

In the food & beverage and pharmaceutical industries the most common use is for ferrule connections, also known as triclamp, or screw coupling connection – both of which NICHIAS can supply Saniclean™ gasket products for, as well as the appropriate certifications for use (e.g. FDA).

In fact, NICHIAS Corporation has been supplying some of the biggest companies in Asia with this product. Over the years, we have taken on board multiple customer feedback to improve our products. As a result, we have developed a solution that is specifically designed for the demanding applications in its relevant industries.

In the following articles, our experts will focus on the piping connections application as well as heat exchanger. From their experiences, they will share the differences and challenges in each application, and why a particular solution may work best.
