Saniclean™ - Triclamp (Ferrule) Connection

Saniclean™ - Triclamp (Ferrule) Connection

Saniclean™ gasket is a sanitary gasket made by NICHIAS technology of encapsulating an elastomer in PTFE. This technology delivers a gasket with the softness of rubber and the strength and chemical resistance of PTFE.

This connection is most used in production lines with liquid or fine grain bulk media. Such production lines are found in research institutes, laboratories, bioengineering, medical technology, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and chemical industry.

Triclamp is often seen in the production lines with sizes of ø25mm to ø319mm. These diameter range is often present in industrial production processes (such as bulk material systems in chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic industries, etc.). The smaller sizes of ø25 and below are the most common in research centres.

Ferrule connection is best for this application for the ease of installation, connection, and maintenance. A gasket used in this setup needs to be manufactured specifically to the three different shapes of the ferrule connection. All of these are based on specific standards that the gasket needs to comply with (such as ISO 2852, ASME BPE, DIN 32676 and so on). Each standard also might influence the shape of the gasket.

Using this connection with NICHIAS Saniclean™ gasket has major benefits. Fitting and maintenance becomes simple and quick, allowing for shorter shutdown times and therefore longer uptime.
